Obituary for Clarke Johnson

Clarke Johnson
It is with great sadness that we are announcing that Clarke Johnson of Heckman’s Island unexpectedly passed away January 16, 2013 at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Clarke was well known for his therapy dog work with Rena and was much appreciated by the patients he visited regularly at the local nursing homes, hospitals and palliative care.

Retired after many years as a electrician, many will remember Clarke for his love of photography, especially his times spent at many dog shows.

He was a kind and gentle man who would do anything for anybody. He was a learner and a teacher and lived life to the fullest.

He was a beloved husband, and best friend to his wife, Brenda Johnson, and a loving father to his two children, Pamella (Bernard Desrochers) Dartmouth and Patrick (Joanne) Johnson, Stittsville, Ont., his four grandchildren, Chad and Stephen Allen, and Ryan and Jessica Johnson.

At Clarke’s wishes there will be no funeral or interment and he just wanted to be remembered for the way he lived his life.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to S.H.A.I.D. Tree Animal Shelter, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to any other charity of your choice, through the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg.

He will be greatly missed!
