Muriel Genevieve Oxner
Muriel Genevieve Oxner, 81, of Herman's Island, passed away Wednesday, March 07, 2007 at Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg,
Born in West LaHave, she was the daughter of the late, Ralph & Sadie (Rafuse) Eisnor.
Muriel along with her husband Doug owned and operated for many years, Oxner’s IGA and Zwicker’s Variety Store, Lunenburg. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Lunenburg and a former member of the Lunenburg Yacht Club, and enjoyed boating with many of her friends. Muriel will be greatly missed by many.
She is survived by her brother Murray Eisnor and companion, Audrey of Dayspring, nephews, Murray and Gregory Nutter, of NB.
She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Oxner and infant daughter, Ann Marie and sister Geraldine.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. A service to celebrate Muriel’s life will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Lunenburg, Rev. Kenneth Wild officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg.
Flowers from the immediate family only, memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or to Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg.
