The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gary Parks can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Obituary for Gary Ross Parks

Gary Ross Parks
I have moved on today. (June 5, 2016).

Gary Parks, 62, born December 31, 1953, son of the late Jesse and Ross Parks. I am leaving behind Linda, my devoted wife of 33 years and my sons, Michael and Matthew. I am proud of their accomplishments. Also leaving behind my brother, Dan (Sharon) and their children, Jennifer and Jeffrey. Thanks Dan for being a great brother. My passions were motorcyles and sailing. Thanks to the following people: Dr. John Jenkins, Dr. Abriel, Dr. Robertson and chemo staff, VON, Palliative Care nurses and those at the Cancer Centre. Life goes on and as George Benson sings “Everything must change, nothing stays the same.” Life unfolds as it should. See you on the other side.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Second Peninsula Cemetery, Rev. Grace Caines-Corkum, officiating.

Memorial donations in Gary’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice, through the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg.
