Obituary for Margaret Bernice Daurie

It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Bernice Daurie, 96, of Front Centre, announces her passing on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at home.

Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Locke and Letoil (Parks) Arenburg.

Margaret worked at MT & T and the South Shore Regional Hospital and reception with Dr. Robinson.

She loved to entertain, play cards and time spent in her garden.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Wayne Veinot, Bridgewater; grandchildren, Lori Veinot (Brent McClocklin). Angie Vasquez Veinot (Ricardo Vasquez) and great-grandchildren, Emma, Enrique, Emilio; step-daughter, Judy Tanner (David Pickings) of Northwest; step-sons, Vance (Beulah) Daurie of Front Centre and Kevin (Annette) Daurie of Garden Lots; many step-grandchildren and a sister, Doris Hubley, New Ross

Margaret was predeceased by her first husband, Burpee Hamm; second husband, Lowell Daurie; daughter, Mary Veinot on February 24, 2017; sisters, Frances and Katherine; brother, Robert; step-mother, Cordellia Bell; step-brother, Clarence and a boy in infancy.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral home, 11213, Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. A graveside committal service to celebrate Margaret’s life will be held at a later date at Epworth United Church Cemetery, New Germany.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Epworth United Church Cemetery, New Germany.
