It is with great sadness that the family of Edward Thomas Paterson of Bridgewater announce his passing on Sunday, January 07, 2018 at Hillside Pines home for Special Care, Bridgewater.

Edward was born in Carlisle, England on June 21, 1931 to the late Reginald and Lillian Paterson.

He and his family immigrated to Canada in 1976 where they settled in Sackville. In late 2000 Edward and his wife, Iris moved to Bridgewater to enjoy their retirement years.

Edward is survived by his son Michael (Suzanne) and his grandchildren Dylan and Jamie.

Edward was predeceased by his wife, Iris of 61 years on December 22, 2017.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg. A memorial service to celebrate the lives of Edward and Iris will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Bridgewater Baptist Church, Pastor Paula Davidson, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
