Obituary for Phyllis Mae Fralick (Zinck)

Phyllis Mae  Fralick (Zinck)
It is with great sadness that the family of Phyllis Mae Fralick, 84, of Stonehurst, announces her passing on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Harbour View Haven Home For Special Care, Lunenburg.

Born in Blandford, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Olive (Mader) Zinck.

Phyllis worked as a teacher in her earlier years, until she married Leonard and raised her family. Active within her community, she was a member of St. Paul’s United Church, where she served with the U.C.W. When Phyllis was not busy looking after her family she loved to cross stitch, embroider and rug hooking,
of which her family has many treasured keepsakes. She was also active in the global community having attained over fifty pen pal friendships worldwide, which she continued to stay current with. Family and friends will also remember her love of animals, her home always had a furry or feathered friend.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Sylvia (Carl) Eikle, Bayport; son, Peter (Darlene), Sweetland; sister, Peggy Hirtle, Blandford; grandchildren, Dan, Tim (Melisa), Sarah (Currie), Randy (Chelsey), Laura (Darren); seven great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leonard.

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy #. 3, Lunenburg, with visitation on Friday from 7 – 9 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate Phyllis’ life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at St. Paul’s United Church, Blue Rocks, Rev. Lee Simpson, officiating. Interment will be in Lower Blue Rocks Cemetery, Blue Rocks.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations made to the S.P.C.A., Diabetes Canadaor St. Paul’s United Church, Blue Rocks would be appreciated by the family.
