It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lucille Mae Ritcey, 89, of Lunenburg, on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Harbour View Haven Home For Special Care, Lunenburg.

Born in Lilydale, she was the daughter of the late Guy and May (Nauss) Knickle. She was the last surviving member of her family.

Lucille worked for many years at the Dominion Store in Lunenburg. She had a strong faith and over the years was an active member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Lunenburg where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, former chairman of the Board of Christian Education, member of the Talent Club, Ladies Aid and the Fellowship Club. Over the years she had been a member of the Bluenose GRS Club.

She was predeceased by her husband Eric in 2001, son David, and brothers, Warren and Gilbert.

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg, where funeral service to celebrate Lucille’s life will be held Wednesday at 3:00P.M. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church or to any charity.
