Obituary for Cheryl Ann Tanner

Cheryl Ann   Tanner
It is with great sadness that the family of Cheryl Ann Tanner, 64 of Halifax, announces her passing on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the Q. E. II, Health Sciences Centre, V.G. Site, Halifax.

Born in Lunenburg, she was the daughter of Annie (Zwicker) Tanner of Lunenburg and the late Sherman Tanner.

Cheryl was a dedicated employee as a book-keeper for over 40 years with R. J. C. Real Estate Management Ltd. Dartmouth.

She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, as an avid reader, tole painter in earlier years and her daily walks with Ed.

Besides her mother, Annie, Cheryl is survived by her son, Geoff Tomney of Terrance Bay, brother, Michael, Beechville, boyfriend, Ed Goodwin, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father, Sherman Tanner in 2010.

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. A graveside and committal service for family and close friends will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg, Rev. Alvin Westgate, officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Osteoporosis Canada.
