Obituary for Erna Isabel Goobie
It is with great sadness that the family of Erna Isabel Goobie, 96, of Lunenburg and formerly of First South announces her passing, on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg.
Born in First South, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Foster and Muriel (Conrad) Wentzell.
Erna loved the simple pleasures of life and enjoyed her homelife and over the years was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, First South and the Bluenose Senior Citizens Club.
She is survived by her cousins, Mervyn and Joanne Shauffenburg.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Goobie.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy # 3, Lunenburg. Funeral service to celebrate Erna’s life will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, First South, Rev. Rick Pryce, officiating. Interment will be in Sunny Valley Cemetery, Centre.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or to any other charity.
