Marilyn Dean Stetson

Blue Rocks, Nova Scotia - Marilyn Dean Stetson passed away in Blue Rocks, Nova Scotia on September 3, 2018. The daughter of George and Mary Dean of Wellesley, Massachusetts, she was predeceased by her parents and sister Evelyn Graeff. Survived by her husband of 59 years, George, her three children, Richard, Matthew and Caroline, and three grandchildren.

Marilyn graduated from the Ten Acre School, Dana Hall School and Smith College. She was employed by Hagley Museum, Winterthur Museum, Mitre Corp and Lincoln Laboratories. She was actively involved with the Junior League of Wilmington and the Delaware Art Museum, enjoyed her interests in art and music, golf and tennis. She and her family loved visiting their second home on the South Shore of Nova Scotia where she was an avid collector of Nova Scotia folk art.

There will be a service of remembrance at Christ Church Christiana Hundred in Wilmington, Delaware on Monday November 5th at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to your local art museum.
