Obituary for Baxter Lloyd Crocker

It is with great sadness that the family of Baxter Lloyd Crocker, 98, of Lunenburg, and formerly of Heart’s Delight,Trinity Bay, NL., announces his passing on Monday, November 26, 2018, at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg.

Born in Heart’s Delight, Trinity Bay, NL., he was the son of the late Arthur and Deliah (Sooley) Crocker.

Baxter was a hard working man who wore many hats during his working career. From working in the iron ore mines, in the forests as a lumberjack, to driving taxi as well as owning his own store. He was truly a jack of all trades. In his spare time, he was an avid gardener, having planted well over 2000 tulip bulbs on his property. He will long be remembered for his sense of humour and kindness. He truly was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather.

Baxter is survived by his daughter Elizabeth (Stephen) Moskatov, Little Shemogue, NB; sons, David (Marina), Peterborough, ON, Sydney (Barbara Scholz), Mississauga, ON as well as eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Jessie Henderson (Kennedy) Crocker; son Derek and his sister Annie.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy #3, Lunenburg. A memorial service will be held in the Anglican Church of the Epiphany, Heart’s Delight, Trinity Bay, NL., at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations made to the Anglican Church of the Epiphany, Heart’s Delight, NL. would be appreciated by the family.

Thank you to all of the warm and caring staff at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg from the cleaning staff on up thru everyone who had a role in not only Dad’s care, but ensuring that his family was treated with compassion and respect. Special thanks to Faye Crocker of Heart's Delight for the many years of special care she had given to our father prior to his move to New Brunswick.

FOREVER REMEMBERED AND FOREVER LOVED
