Obituary for George "Clark" Zinck

It is with great sadness that the family of George "Clark" Zinck, 77, of Bridgewater and formerly of Lunenburg, announces his passing on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Born in Lunenburg, Clark was the son of the late George and Lottie (Dewar) Zinck.

Clark started his working career at an early age at Langille Bakery in Lunenburg and then went on to work in the grocery business at the IGA, Scotia Trawlers, Dominion Store and retired from the Lunenburg Save Easy in 2003. After retirement he worked part-time with the Superstore in Bridgewater.

Clark enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, spending time at home with family, enjoying watching a game of his favourite Maple Leaf Team, vacationing with family in PEI; photography and coffee with the boys at McDonald's.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce, daughter, Susan (Stephen) MacLean, Lantz, sister, Catherine Desharnais of Orleans, ON; and grandchildren, Mathew and Justin.

He was predeceased by his parents, and his brother, Gerald.

Memorial service to celebrate Clark's life will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. Interment will be at a later date at Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to South Shore Regional Hospital, Fishermen's Memorial Hospital or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
