Obituary for Dennis Ian Blinn

It is with great sadness that the family of Dennis Ian Blinn, 49, of Pine Grove, announces his passing on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Born in Halifax, Ian was the son of Edgar and Thelma (Kenney) Blinn of Lunenburg.

Ian received his earlier education at the Lunenburg High School and then went on to take a computer program in Halifax.

His working career started at Composite Atlantic, Lunenburg and then worked with his father at Nelson Consulting Company. Ian then decided to go into trucking and worked long haul, then short haul trucking for various companies in the South Shore and for the last 7 years with Armour Transportation Systems.

Ian found great pleasure in the simple pleasures of life, spending time at home with family and friends, enjoying his Xbox, watching a good car race, daily side trips with Terilee and cherished moments with his dogs, Jake and Maggie.

Besides his parents, Edgar and Thelma Blinn of Lunenburg, Ian is survived by his loving wife, Terilee (Munroe), sister, Pamela Moore, Bedford, brother, Fred (Mandy Ryan), Halifax; and James (Shelley), Halifax and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

A service to celebrate Ian’s life will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg, Rev. Grace Caines-Corkum, officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Rose Fund (The Rosanne Himmelman Cancer Patient Fund ("The Rose Fund"), raises funds "to help ease the pain" for the residents of our local communities who are struggling financially while being treated for cancer)
or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
