Obituary for Mona Marie Greek (Conrad)
It is with great sadness that the family of Mona Marie Greek, 82, of Upper LaHave, announce her passing on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at her home.
Born in Rose Bay, she was a daughter of the late Loraine and Jennie (Spindler) Conrad.
Mona was a stay at home mother, who spent a lot of time driving her late husband, Lennie and children around to work and extracurricular activities. She was a long-time member of Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Ladies Aid and the choir. She loved traveling with family and friends both near and far. She enjoyed family gatherings, going out to eat, and a good bake sale.
Mona is survived by daughters, Marcia (Carvel) Eisenhauer, Spectacle Lakes, Valerie (Mark MacPhee) Greek, Bridgewater; sons, Greg (Susan), Lunenburg, Kirk, Bridgewater; sisters, Sylvia Conrod, Montreal, Victoria (David) Rhodenizer, Rhodes Corner; grandchildren, Megan (Dwight) Lawrence, Jessica (John Feeney) Eisenhauer, Alex, Ian, Serena, Levi as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leonard; sisters, Shirley Crouse, Mary Cross, and brother, Lynn Conrad.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg and from where visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2019 from 7-9 p.m. with a memorial service to follow on Friday at 11:00 a.m. from Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, Upper LaHave. Pastor Svante Olson officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Middle LaHave Cemetery, Middle LaHave.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, the Middle LaHave Cemetery or a charity of your choice.
