Obituary for Alfred Kenneth Spindler
It is with great sadness that the family of Alfred Kenneth Spindler 77, of Lower LaHave, announces his passing on Friday, April 26, 2019 at the Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany.
Born in Riverport, Alfred was a son of the late Kenneth and Freda (Himmelman) Spindler.
Alfred worked at Riverport Seafoods until the plant fire and then went on to work at Highliner Foods, Lunenburg until his retirement. He was a gentle and kind soul who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and was most happy being at home with his family and supporting his community in a way that he could.
Alfred is survived by sons, Stephen (Sharon Benoit) Lunenburg, Scott, Bridgewater and Shawn (Samaira Mosher), Lower LaHave, grandchildren, Saide, Stone and Liam.
He was predeceased by his wife, Gloria.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg, where a service to celebrate Alfred’s life will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Heather Ferrier, officiating. Interment will be in Lower LaHave Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to SHAID Tree Animal Shelter, Rosedale Home for Special Care or to a charity of your choice.
