Obituary for Dianne Marie Levy

It is with great sadness that the family of Dianne Marie Levy, 74 of Feltzen South, announces her passing on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Born in Riverport, Dianne was the daughter of the late Lester and Verta (Mosher) Ritcey.

Dianne started her earlier working career at National Sea Products, Lunenburg and then went on to drive school bus in the local area for over 20 years.

She loved to be active in her beloved community and was a faithful member of Wesley United Church, Feltzen South where she worshipped and supported its various ministries. She was a life-long member and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Grace Chapter # 8, Lunenburg.

Dianne had a talent for crafts which found expression in her handicrafts and when she sewed for “Thimble and Things.” She also loved to hook rugs and met weekly at Trinity United Church with like minded rug hookers.

Her greatest and deepest love was for her family. She enjoyed times spent with her beloved grandsons, Broghan and Landen and also all those special summer weekends with family and friends at the camp at Cross Island.

Her love of life, family, friends and the community at large were so important to her. Dianne’s quiet courage, strength of spirit, creativity and sense of humour will be carried forward by those who knew and loved her. She was a golden thread of love spun invisibly through all our hearts and lives.

Dianne is survived by her husband, Fred, daughter, Nicole (Larry) Morash, Riverport; sisters, Elizabeth (David) Perry, Bridgewater, Margaret Rose (Bobby) Schmeisser, Middle LaHave; two grandchildren, Broghan, Landen, sister-in-law, Cynthia Levy, Bruhm Rd., and brother-in-law, Everett (Pauline) Mosher, Feltzen South and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. A service to celebrate Dianne’s life will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Church, Rose Bay, Rev. Heather Ferrier, officiating. Interment will be in Feltzen South Cemetery, Feltzen South.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Church, the Eastern Star or to the Unity Lodge # 4 of the Masonic Order.
