Obituary for Dennis Brian Mossman

It is with great sadness that the family of Dennis Brian Mossman, 43, of Lunenburg announces his passing at home on Friday, November 8, 2019.

Born in Bridgewater, Dennis was the son of Lynn Alison Mossman of Kingsburg and Carolyn Rose Johnson of Bridgewater.

Dennis received his earlier education at schools in Riverport, Centre Consolidated and Parkview Education Centre, Bridgewater. He went on to his working career at Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg, Stelia and returned to work in the maintenance department at Harbour View Haven.

Dennis found great enjoyment and passion in his comic collection, wrestling, anything superman related, listening to country and heavy metal music and spending time with his fur baby’s, Skooter, Daisy, Popcorn and Spooky. His man cave reflected where he found his enjoyment of life.

12 years ago, Dennis found his true love in the girl next door, his wife Stephenie. She shares and enables his love of all things comic, as they have traveled across Canada and the eastern United States to attend Comic Cons together. Dennis and Stephenie were a true testament to the phrase 'opposites attract'. They were a perfect match. Dennis was her Superman, and she was his Lois Lane.

He really loved his comic cons, we followed so many of them. Just last Saturday he was like I wish we were in Rhode Island this weekend meeting Chevy Chase. He just loved them so much and if we had the money we would be at one every weekend

His passing has been a huge loss to his family and his footprints in the sand will remain for many years.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Stephenie, his father Lynn Mossman (Theresa) Kingsburg, his mother, Carolyn Johnson, Bridgewater, his brother, Allen (Emily), Bridgewater, uncles, Billy (Elly) Mossman, Duncan, BC; Gerald (Maury) Mossman, Pentz; Brian (Pam) Johnson, Beaverbank; aunt, Dianne McFarlane, Halifax; mother-in-law, Doreen Williams, Lunenburg, father-in-law, Stephen Williams, Bridgewater and many cousins.

A Celebration of Life for Dennis will be held Saturday, from 1- 3 p.m. with remarks beginning at 1:30 pm at the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg.
