It is with great sadness that the family of Reginald Robert Steen, 76 of Lunenburg announces his passing on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the QEII Health Services Centre, Halifax.

Born in Lunenburg, he was the son of the late Robert and Ethel (Frittenburg) Steen.

Reg started his working career at Carleton Crouse’s Radio and TV business and then went to work at National Sea Products for 28 years. In later years he worked with the Police Department for the Town of Lunenburg and with security at the Casino in Halifax and at the local hospitals in the area.

Reg was an Honorary member of the Lunenburg Fire Department and a member of the Commissionaires Nova Scotia .

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Janet and daughter, Michelle Steen of Halifax and by his feline companion “Spooky”

Reg was predeceased by his parents and an infant brother.

A graveside committal service will be held at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg.
