Obituary for Evelyn Julia Zinck
It is with great sadness that the family of Evelyn Julia Zinck, 89 of Lunenburg announces her passing on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg.
Born in West Dublin, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Daisy (Covey) Weagle.
Evelyn worked for over 25 years in the dry fish department of National Sea Products, Lunenburg.
An active member of St. John’s Anglican Church, she taught Sunday School in earlier years and supported the church in every way she could. In later years attended Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Bridgewater, where she was a member of the ACW.
Evelyn was a member of various Senior Citizens Clubs. She loved attending social events, playing a game of cards and going for drives. Her distinctive laugh will be remembered by many.
Evelyn is survived by sister, Gloria Cox, Conquerall Mills and brother, Eldon (Glenna) Weagle of West Dublin, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leslie, sister, Marjorie Conrad; brothers, Donald and Cedric.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. Memorial Service to celebrate Evelyn’s life will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church, Lunenburg, Rev. Laura Marie Piotrowicz, officiating. Interment will be in Garden Lots Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. John’s Anglican Church or to any other charity.
