Velma enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, spending time at home with family and friends, enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by a daughter, Valerie Tanner (Byran O’Quinn), Sackville; son, Tim (Sylvin Levasseur), Montreal; sisters, Mona Knickle, Blue Rocks; Annette Dibbin, Blue Rocks; Darlene Miller, Back Centre, grandchildren, Vanessa and Geoffrey Sanford, great-grandchildren, Mya, Celina and Nicholas and several nieces and nephews.
