Obituary for Levi Wilfred Hanhams
It is with great sadness that the family of Levi Wilfred Hanhams, 60 of Lunenburg, announces his passing on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at home.
Levi grew up in Belleoram, Newfoundland and moved to Lunenburg after graduating where he found his love for the sea. He was a fisherman all of his working life out of Lunenburg working in earlier years with National Sea and then the last 25 years with Clearwater Seafoods Ltd.
Levi was a friend to many and will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Levi is survived by his parents, Fred and Catherine Hanhams, Lunenburg; sons, Brandon (Courtney MacLean) Barss Corner, Shane (Monika Dorey), Lunenburg; step-son, Chris Kilfoy; grandchildren, Lucas, Cashton, Mya, Cohen, Fortune and Nash; sister, Mary (Diane), Middleton; brothers, Wally (Nancy) Saskatchewan, Frank (Michelle) Oakhill, Harold (Tara), Bridgewater and Donnie (Karen) Bridgewater; sister-in-law, Christine Hanhams, Lunenburg; extended family and friends, Shawanda Saunders, Kyler Saunders, Llewellyn Young; Claire Welsh, Cathy Hickey and Jackie Winters, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by a brother, Fred and son, Robert Welsh.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. A celebration of Levis’ life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the IWK Health Centre, Halifax or to a charity of your choice.
