Obituary for Earle Franklyn Nauss

It is with great sadness that the family of Earle Franklyn Nauss, 92, of Clearland, announces his passing on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Born in Oakland, he was a son of the late Roy and Marguerite (James) Nauss.

Earle worked for over 44 years with Mahone Auto Ltd. and also worked as a custodian with the Bank of Montreal, Mahone Bay.

He was a member of St. James Anglican Church, Mahone Bay.

Earle enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and found the greatest enjoyment spending time at home surrounded by his family and his weekly outings to music jams.

Earle is survived by sons, Wayne (Paulette), Halifax; Eric (Jeffrey Whynot), Liverpool; Christopher (Natasha), Martin’s Brook; three grandchildren, Jennifer Bond, Michael Nauss, Jade Nauss, and three great-grandchildren, Rylan Nauss, Kaila Bond and Leah Bond.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Shirley, sisters, Janet Acker, Jean Turple and a brother, Walter.

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. A graveside memorial service to celebrate Earle’s life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. James Anglican Church, the Diabetes Association Heart and Stroke Foundation, VON Lunenburg County or to a charity of your choice.
