Obituary for John Bruno Young
John Bruno Young, 91, of Centre passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020, at Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg.
Born and raised in Lunenburg he was the son of William and Hazel Young and moved to Centre and lived on Centre Range Road. John went to live in Harbour View Haven Lunenburg in 2018
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family and will be remembered fondly by his many close friends.
Over the years, John worked at the Kinley farm and spent more than 30 years working for M. A. Hatt Sauerkraut in Lilydale. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, spending time at home, being in the outdoors and held a special affinity for all animals.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy #3, Lunenburg. Funeral service to celebrate John’s life will be held 11:00 am on Friday November 13, 2020 at Zion Lutheran Church, Lunenburg, Pastor Brooklynn Lane, officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to SHAID Tree Animal Shelter or the Therapeutic Services of Harbour View Haven, Lunenburg.
