Obituary for Jennifer Marie Briand (Dibbin)
It is with great sadness that the family of Jennifer Marie Briand announce her sudden passing January 9th 2021 after a more than decade long cancer illness. Jennifer passed at home with her loving husband John Briand and family by her side.
Jennifer was born in Truro February 16th 1963 to Fenton and Norma Dibbin of East LaHave.
She is survived by her husband, John, son, Michael Briand (Corissa), grandchildren, (Dominic and Dawson), daughter, Danielle Briand (Zachary), parents, Fenton and Norma Dibbin, her two brothers, Jimmy (Jasmine), Jeffery (Carol), sister, Janice (Murray), special aunt like a sister, Cheryl (Kevin) Corkum, other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and large extended family.
We are very proud of all that she had accomplished with community service both in her volunteering and work environment. Jennifer worked with Caregivers Nova Scotia as the Caregiver Support –Western region Nova Scotia. In this capacity she worked with Palliative Care, Alzheimer’s society, Cancer Care Program, sat on the Cancer Patient Family Network board, Heart and Stroke, and attended many health event representing her region.
Jennifer was a compassionate and caring individual and always put others above herself. She was devoted to her family and loved being a grandmother. She added beauty to this world and touched the lives of so many and will be missed beyond measure.
A private family memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021.
