Obituary for Doreen Margaret Oakins

Doreen Margaret  Oakins
Doreen Margaret Oakins, 65, of Lunenburg, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Born in Port Low, Cornwall, England, she was a daughter of the late Reginald and Violet (Hallett) Oakins.

Doreen started working with Canada Permanent at the age of 17 and spent all of her working life in the Bank Industry retiring from Toronto Dominion. She came to reside with her sister in Lunenburg in 2001.

She is survived by sisters, Maureen Slaby, Lunenburg; Susie Turner, Scarborough, Ont.; brother, Graham, Mount Albert, Ont.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. At Doreen’s request there will be no service. Interment to be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
