Obituary for Hendrix Peter Philip Savory

Hendrix loved his mom, dad, and big brother very much. He was the boy with a thousand silly faces, and although he was only 8, he had a huge heart. He had a kind smile - unless he was up to mischief, and then he would add his own personal smirk. Hendrix loved all animals and they loved him back. Hendrix loved to cook and help in the kitchen, and when his mom was feeling down, he would make her boiled eggs and a coffee for breakfast.

In the past year he discovered that he really liked fishing. Hendrix didn’t care if he caught anything, but just enjoyed sitting on a rock and watching his bobber. His true love was trains and boy did he have a lot. Hendrix attended Bluenose Academy and was known to have ’selective hearing’, which might have frustrated a teacher or two!

Hendrix was loved by a large and extended family and will be profoundly missed by all. Hendrix is survived by his father, Kirk Savory (Jessica), Kirk’s stepdaughter Ariah; grandparents, Jim (Joeann) Stewart; Kirk (Rose) Strowbridge; and Margie Savory (Ricky); great-grandmothers Catherine Demone and Melinda Savory; aunts and uncles, James (Melanie) Stewart; Claire Coulter (Chris); Duncan (Tiffany) Coulter; April (Josh) Clarke; Jessica (Nicholas) Francis; Tracey (Chris)Hodder; Michael Savory, Jesse Benteau, Jordan Benteau; and many cousins, great-aunts, and great-uncles.

Hendrix was predeceased by his mother, Kaylea Savory; his brother, Harley Savory; his maternal grandmother Deborah (Demone) Stewart; paternal grandparents Jim and Barb Stewart; and paternal great-grandfather Watson Savory.

Hendrix was a gentle and simple kind of boy, who rolled along at his own pace, and he will be missed.
