Obituary for Ann Ellen Muise
It is with great sadness that the family of Ann Ellen Muise, 83, of Dartmouth, announces her passing on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Dartmouth General Hospital, Dartmouth.
Born in Lunenburg, Ann was the daughter of the late Capt. James Watson and Carrie Agnes (Knickle) Wagner.
Over the years, Ann worked at Demone’s Jewellers, Bridgewater, Things Engraved Jewellers and for many years with Grand Jewellers both in the city. She also spent time baby sitting for 2 children, Jenna and Benjamin.
Ann enjoyed visits with family, watching the kids play sports, doing the crossword puzzles in the daily paper and for years knitted many slippers as a donation to FEED Nova Scotia.
Ann is survived by her sons, Alex (Beth), Bridgewater Steven (Polly), Whynott’s Settlement; and Scott, BC, sister, Carrie Phillips, Dartmouth, whom she resided with and grandchildren, Tyler, Tristan (Belinda), Tegan (Ryan) , Dennis (Christine), Nicole, Kory, Shannon and Zelan; 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Hebert, grandson, Kevin and sisters, Irene Sheaves, Joan MacKinnon and Marguerite Moss.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. A graveside committal service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Dartmouth General Hospital, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer’s Society or to a charity of your choice.
The family would like to specially thank Ann’s sister, Carrie and her niece, Ellen who supported her over the years and so she could maintain her independence and stay at home with her sister, Carrie. The family appreciated her care shown to her from her family doctor, Dr. Richard Warren, of Dartmouth and to the paramedics and doctors, nurses and staff at the Dartmouth General Hospital for all their care and compassion shown to Ann.
