It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Evan Paul Sharp (Paul), age 71.

Born in Halifax on June 17, 1950, Paul was the son of the late Allan Basil Sharp and the late Eileen Marry Sampson.

Paul is survived by his loving partner Pat Cunningham, sons Jake (Brianna), Ben (Katherine); daughter Katie (Chris); grandchildren Anni, Van, Gweneth, Bronwyn, Elise and Abel; his sister Elaine (Nancy); and the mother of his children Vicki Sharp-Evans.

Paul was a creative hobbyist with many talents. He especially enjoyed wood working, painting, and photography. Paul loved nature, and enjoyed relaxing and listening to the brook, and walking with his dogs.

Paul was a thoughtful and kind man. He offered a great listening ear and wise advice. He was a great observer, and you could always tell he was taking in the moment.

His grandchildren loved going to “Grandfather’s” house to play in the pool, run outside, and often inside too. Paul enjoyed watching them with a slight smile and a twinkle in his eye, with a joke thrown in here and there.

He will be missed by of those lucky enough to have made a connection with him.
