Obituary for Myrtle Irene Nauss (Eisnor)

It is with great sadness that the family of Myrtle Irene Nauss, 95, of Martin's River, announces her passing on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, with her family by her side.

Born in Martin's River, she was a daughter of the late Ozam and Claudia (Hiltz) Eisnor, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Myrtle loved attending church at St. Martin's Anglican Church in Martins River up until the time of its closing. She also loved shopping, baking and would never miss Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy. In her younger years she also loved a good game of Bingo. She loved just being on the go; up until her last breath. Loved ones will honour her memory by living life to the fullest, as like herself.

Myrtle is survived by her daughters, Diane (Charles) Booth, Bridgewater, Darlene (Alan) Mailman, Martin's River; Keith (Sharon),Martin's River; many grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; daughters-in–law, Laverne and Doreen, both of Martin's River; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clyde; sons, Richard and Gary; as well as her brothers and sisters.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Martin's Cemetery, Martin's River. Rev. Willis Ott, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the SHAID Tree Animal Shelter, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, or a charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank everyone who cared for Mom, that she was able to spend the last years in her own home. We would also like to thank South Shore Regional Hospital for everything they have done for Mom to keep her comfortable and being so compassionate and caring to the family during this difficult time; as well as EHS for such quick action and care.
