Obituary for Letoile Belle Tanner

Letoile  Belle   Tanner
It is with great sadness that the family of Letoile Belle Tanner, 95 of Lunenburg announces her passing on Monday, August 13, 2018, the birthday of her late husband Freeman at Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg.

Born in Tanner’s Settlement, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Annie (Richards) Tanner.

Letoile enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and her home and family were the most important to her. She was a devoted wife to her husband Freeman and the two of them were inseparable. She cherished her time spent with her two beloved daughters and found great pleasures in her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Lunenburg.

Letoile is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Creighton) Myra, Sherbooke Lake and Jane Brake (Peter Rognerud), Lunenburg; grandchildren, Michael (Sharon) Myra, Julie (Ronnie) Bachman, Tracey (Lynette) Brake, Troy (Dawn) Brake and Mark Brake and great grandchildren; Taylor, Raquel, Jenaya, Kayla, Austin and Amy and four great-great grandchildren; brother, Carl (Jane) Tanner, First South and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Freeman; son-in-law, James Brake; step-son; Maurice; sisters; Rita, Lucille, Ellen, Hazel and Pauline and brothers, Percy, Wilson and Cecil.

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg from where funeral service to celebrate Letoile’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, Rev. Rick Pryce, officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care or to Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital.
